Use the house to play a reading game. Play SOMEONE’S AT THE DOOR. Stack phonetic word cards (nouns work the best) in front of the house. Take turns choosing a card and reading the word. For example, the word is fan. Read the word. Then say, in a scared voice, “A fan is at the door.” This game is hilariously fun!
