BUILD A SNOWFLAKE
It’s January, so if you live in a snowy climate, you might need an activity for a snow day. And if you live in the South, you might like decorating your classroom with snowflakes to remind your students that much of the country has snowy weather this time of year. A student in my first grade Florida classroom once said, “Christmas is over, why are we making snowflakes?”
SNOWFLAKE SYMMETRY CRAFT
This snowflake craft is a fun way for your kiddos to create unique, symmetrical snowflake designs. Once they cut out the pieces, they can assemble the parts to make the basic snowflake. Then customize it with the leftover shapes.
*We used a half inch paper punch to cut circles from scrap paper.
The kids will be amazed when they see all of the completed snowflakes…hopefully, no two snowflakes are alike.
