WHIMSICAL WITCH CONE

This witch pattern has a smiling face, but if you want to make a scary witch, change the face to make it look angry.  You can color her any way you’d like.

FAMOUS  WITCHES IN LITERATURE

There are so many great stories that feature witches.  Sometimes the witches are a little scary like the Wicked Witch of the West from the “Wizard of Oz,” by L. Frank Baum.  But that story also features Glinda the Good Witch, who is beautiful and kind.  Whether they are good or bad, witches always add a magical element to every story.  They can use their magic to be a superhero or a villain.

In Roald Dahl’s “The Witches,” a grandmother tells her grandson that witches look like regular people, have normal jobs, and live in the community like everyone else.  But, the witches in their town have a diabolical plan to get rid of children by turning them into mice.  The boy and his grandmother hatch a plan to stop the witches.

“The Worst Witch,” is a series of children’s book by Jill Murphy.  It’s about a girl named Mildred Hubble who is sent to a witch school to learn how to be a witch.  She fails every lesson.  But when a group of mean witches plan to take over the school, it is Mildred who uses her powers to stop them.
