The recipe below is for homemade puff paint.  It’s springtime, so you can use this technique to paint a paper egg shape, or flower shape, or butterfly shape…

Puff Paint “EGG”-tivity

You’ll need:  paper, pencil, bowl, flour, salt, baking soda, food coloring, water, spoon, water bottle lid, microwave, scissors

1.  Draw an egg shape on paper.

2. Mix Puff Paint in a bowl:

1 Tbsp flour

1 Tbsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 Tbsp water

Food coloring – a few drops

Mix the ingredients.

3.  Have your child dip the small lid into the puff paint and press it onto the paper.

4. When the egg is covered in circles, place the paper in the microwave for 10 seconds to harden the paint.

5. Cut out the egg shape.
